12 Terms of Negotiation

These are the key items that our real estate agents will negotiate on your behalf when buying or selling a house. A skilled agent can add significant value while a bad agent can be a disaster.

Purchase Price

Negotiating the price of the property is one of the primary responsibilities of a real estate agent. We aim to secure the best possible price for our clients.

Earnest Money Deposit

We can negotiate the amount of the earnest money deposit, which is a good faith deposit made by the buyer to show their commitment to the purchase.

Financing Terms

We can negotiate the most favorable financing terms for either the buyer or seller, such as the type of loan, interest rate, and down payment amount. 

Home Repairs

If the inspection reveals issues or needed repairs, we can negotiate to have the repairs completed or to receive a credit or price reduction to cover the cost of repairs.

Closing Costs

We can negotiate to have the buyer or seller cover some or all of the closing costs, including fees such as title insurance, appraisal fees, etc.

For sellers, commissions are negotiable and vary based on the services you choose. For buyers typically you don't pay us any commission, the seller's agent splits their commission with the buyer's agent.

Do you work with clients who are relocating?
